Tradition of Excellence & what it means to us- (Wingate By Wyndham General Athletic Scholarship)

As a corporate partner of the University of Alabama, we have made a commitment which we take seriously. We believe there are certain responsibilities that come with establishing a business in Tuscaloosa, woven into the Houndstooth thread of the Crimson Tide.

The Wingate By Wyndham Scholarship Endowment is our commitment to the Tradition of Excellence, and the Crimson Tide Foundation is the unique expression which continues the tradition of excellence.

This commitment could not be counted in "Wingate 3-Pointers" alone. The 2012-13 season will be represented by several facets of Crimson Tide Athletics.
Baseball, Basketball, Gymnastics, Soccer, Softball & Volleyball will each have statistical measurement of the Tradition of Excellence.

We hope that this commitment will rise the bar of what it means to be dedicated to the Tradition established so many years ago.

It was once said hat the expectation level is high at the University of Alabama, as it should be. What's wrong with expecting the same from your Hotel?

Wingate By Wyndham - ADay Quarterback Challenge

Remember the old NFL QB Challenge back in the day?
Crimson Tide Greats Scott Hunter, John Parker Wilson and others will recreate that Alabama Magic as they get the competitive juices flowing again. This will be a showcase event during halftime.

Pre Game will also feature A-Club Members in the Pre Game Skills Competition. 

Also look for our Crimson Tide Foundation Check Presentation with Mal Moore sometime during the 1st Half. $6,800 to the Wingate By Wyndham General Scholarship Fund.

We are proud to show our support the Crimson Tide Foundation thru our sponsorship of both events.

A-Day Quarterback Challenge

We are proud to expand our sponsorship of the 2012 Alabama A-Day Quarterback Challenge. Legendary Alabama QB's will face off in a timed accuracy event during half-time of this year's spring scrimmage.

We are even more excited about our chance to say thank you to the University of Alabama which has given so much to our community. Our sponsorship of the "Wingate 3-Ptr", means that Alabama Men's Basketball raised over $6,000 for the Crimson Tide Foundation. These yearly contributions go directly to the Wingate By Wyndham General Athletic Scholarship Fund. 

More to follow in the coming days, including the return of our special A-Club Autograph sessions in our lobby the morning before the game.

The Wingate By Wyndham of Tuscaloosa is a proud corporate partner of the Crimson Tide Foundation. $50 goes to the General Athletic Scholarship Fund For every 3-Point basket made by Alabama Basketball during the 2012 season.

We are excited to announce that our contributions will continue into the post season NCAA tournament.
